What is the difference between OEM and ODM manufacturing?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) means we produce your exact design specifications. ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) means we design the product for you based on your concept. Entrol offers both: OEM for clients with finished designs, and ODM for brands needing design assistance.
Can you create a completely new product from my idea?
Yes. Our in-house design team uses AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and 3D modeling to turn your concept into production-ready specifications. We can work from sketches, reference photos, or verbal descriptions. Full design service includes 3D prototyping and material engineering.
What is the minimum order quantity for custom products?
Custom/OEM MOQ starts at 200 units for cat trees, 300 units for pet apparel, and 500 units for dog toys. For first-time custom projects, we can accommodate lower MOQs (100 units) on select products to help validate your concept.
How much does custom product development cost?
Development costs vary by complexity. Simple modifications to existing designs: $0-500. New product design with 3D prototyping: $500-2,000. Full ODM development including engineering: $1,000-5,000. Development costs are often credited toward bulk orders.
What file formats do you accept for custom designs?
We accept AutoCAD (.dwg, .dxf), SolidWorks (.sldprt), STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs), 3D PDF, hand-drawn sketches (scanned), reference photos, and physical samples. Our design team can work with any format and will convert your files to production specs.
How many sample revisions are included?
We include 2 rounds of free revisions with every custom project. Each revision cycle takes 3-5 days. Additional revisions are available at a nominal fee. We work with you until the sample meets your exact specifications.
What materials can you work with for custom products?
Cat trees: engineered wood (CARB P2), solid wood, sisal rope, jute, plush (OEKO-TEX). Pet apparel: cotton, wool, acrylic, polyester, organic fabrics. Dog toys: natural rubber, TPR, plush, rope, bamboo. All materials are REACH/CPSIA compliant.
Do you provide 3D prototyping and mockups?
Yes. We offer 3D rendering and physical prototyping. 3D renders help you visualize the product before sampling. Physical prototypes are created using 3D printing or hand-crafting. Prototyping costs $200-800 depending on complexity.
Can you customize packaging for custom products?
Absolutely. We design custom retail packaging including color boxes, blister packs, hang tags, inserts, and master cartons. Our team can match your existing brand guidelines or create new packaging designs.
What is the typical timeline for a custom project?
Design & quotation: 3-5 days. 3D prototyping: 5-7 days. Physical sample: 7-10 days. Sample revisions: 3-5 days per round. Mass production: 25-35 days. Shipping: 18-35 days. Total: approximately 8-14 weeks depending on complexity.
